
I have a thing for rocks. Pretty much anyone who knows me at all knows this. So it probably isn’t surprising that I see an important connection in the combination of the stone hearth and the fire. It is the element of fire, of course, that transforms a hearth from cold and foreboding to warm and inviting. But while the fire provides the initial heat, it is the stone that will continue to radiate warmth even after the fire has died down. In short, I really do believe that the combo is important here, which leads me to the point of today’s post. If you don’t have a nice stone hearth (or even if you do), a rock candle also provides that beautiful rock and fire combination.
