Art
and Literature Tours
As
a special component of our Journeys of Art and Soul travel
program, CRIZMAC’s Art and Literature Tours offer travelers
an opportunity to learn about renowned artists and writers while
experiencing the magnificent places that inspired them. Our daily
itineraries include on-site lectures and readings, combined with
visits to writers’ and artists’ homes and studios, museums,
historic sites, and other special locations that are featured in
the works we are studying. And, as with all of our tours, we fortify
ourselves along the way with special culinary treats! Our travelers
have told us that the experience of exploring the lives and legacies
of our featured artists and writers while “on location”
is an unbeatable combination.
Past tours include: Magnet of New Mexico, focusing on the
writers and artists who came to Taos as guests of the venerable
Mabel Dodge Lujan; Gifts from New England, featuring legendary
artists and writers of the region; An Abundant Harvest,
which explored the art and literature of central California with
a particular focus on John Steinbeck and Dorothea Lange; and Desert
Divas, highlighting influential women in Southwestern art and
literature.
Our art and literature tours are a collaboration between Stevie
Mack and Kitty Williams of CRIZMAC (the company’s President
and Vice President respectively) and Dr. Bill Fry, an engaging and
extremely popular literature professor. As a college professor in
Maryland, Dr. Fry received numerous awards for his outstanding teaching.
Join us for one of our art and literature tours and you’ll
understand why. The leaders work together to provide you with an
in-depth learning experience along with a good dose of fun.

What CRIZMAC Travelers Say
“You
are an exceptional group of people who have attracted a loyal following
because of the quality of the programs you offer and the people
who present them. Every day was a new adventure, filled with learning,
fun, laughter, and an abundance of good food.”
Barbara Katz • Tucson, AZ
Magnet of New Mexico & An Abundant Harvest

Kitty
Williams, Dr. Bill Fry and Stevie Mack at Walden Pond
“I think it is the personalities of
the three leaders that made this an exceptional experience. It seemed
to me that they were enjoying themselves and each other and this
resulted in each day starting in a kind of happy haze. Their unique
personalities merged into a delightful mosaic. I don’t know
how you could design or decree this fortuitous combination.”
Marion Higgins • Tucson, AZ
An Abundant Harvest
“Bravo! The tour met and exceeded my
expectations in all aspects. Kitty, Stevie and Bill, all vibrant
personalities and their presentations (lectures) showed hours of
preparation, research and study. They left nothing to chance.”
Mary Torrey Dooms • Tucson, AZ
