Art and Cultural Tours
The CRIZMAC tours are organized and led by Stevie Mack and Kitty
Williams. The President and Founder of CRIZMAC Art and Cultural
Education Materials, Inc., Stevie Mack has led exceptional trips
to both domestic and international destinations for over twenty
years, with Kitty Williams joining in 2002. Kitty, who has a background
in travel and education, serves as CRIZMAC’s Vice President.
This dynamic duo offers travelers a blend of their many talents,
while always including a good dose of fun. Highly organized and
committed to your satisfaction, they attend to the details that
make for a very educational and enjoyable experience. Both Stevie
and Kitty have strong backgrounds in art and cultural studies, which
enables them to offer expert guidance. To add to the depth of the
experience, tours often include demonstrations by outstanding artists
and presentations by other experts as well.
Stevie holds an Masters degree in Art Education from the University
of Arizona. She taught art in the public schools for 13 years. During
this time, she received several grants for curriculum development,
and in 1989, was awarded Outstanding Art Educator in Arizona. In
1985, Stevie formed CRIZMAC, a publishing company committed to the
development and publication of art and cultural education resources.
The National Art Education Association honored Stevie with the Distinguished
Service Award in 2000.
Kitty earned a Masters of Higher Education, with a focus on international
and experiential education, at the University of Arizona in 2003.
She has an extensive background in travel industry operations, including
time spent as an adventure travel guide. Her work with the Tarahumara
Indians of Mexico’s Copper Canyon region has been featured
in People magazine and Runners World, and was
filmed by the Discovery Channel. Kitty has presented at national
and international conferences, including providing the keynote address
at the 11th International Conference on Outdoor Recreation and Education.
Stevie and Kitty have published widely, both together and individually,
and have produced numerous award-winning video programs and curriculum
resources. They also teach a fascinating variety of classes through
the CRIZMAC Institute, including hands-on workshops. Their popular
monthly lecture series, ARTiculations, is offered free

Art
and Literature Tours
For our Art and Literature Tours, Dr. Bill Fry joins Stevie and
Kitty as a guide. Dr. Fry taught literature and writing at a Maryland
college for more than thirty years, where he served as Chair of
the Literature Department, and developed a series of domestic and
international literary study tours.
Dr.
Fry was named Outstanding Professor for the State of Maryland in
1987 and received Professor of the Year award in 1990. In 2009,
Dr. Fry was awarded the Juliana Yoder Award for the Humanities—an
annual state-wide award honoring an individual who has made a lasting
contribution to the cultural life of his/her community through active
support of and involvement in promoting the humanities.
Join
us for one of our art and literature tours and you’ll understand
why he has earned such prestigious honors in his discipline. When
CRIZMAC invites an outstanding scholar like Dr. Fry to co-lead a
tour, each guide focuses on his/her specialty and they collaborate
to provide you with an in-depth and enjoyable learning experience.

Rock-On Tours are a collaboration between CRIZMAC and Rock

Bob Jones, the Senior Editor of the magazine, and a very knowledgeable
and prolific author. Leaders of future tours may vary, but holding
to the high standard set by Bob Jones, all will be experts in their
